Summary
Reverts #717 in full. The PR scoped Phase 1 of model discovery around OpenRouter only, when issue #705 explicitly required a general utility covering every supported backend (claude, goose, codex, opencode) where the upstream exposes a model list. I will return to the issue at another time with a scope that matches what the issue actually asks for.
This is a clean revert — no files retained, no half-measures. The reusable abstractions can be re-lifted from git history when the issue is revisited.
