Working across the full stack to build and maintain the web applications that power one of the UK's most established tax and accountancy networks. My day-to-day covers designing and building responsive, well-structured user interfaces, writing the server-side logic and data access behind them, and modelling the database that everything sits on. Because the platform handles sensitive business and client information, I put a strong emphasis on writing secure, type-safe, well-tested code, and on keeping the wider codebase healthy and consistent as it grows. Alongside shipping features, I'm involved in shaping architecture and pushing for the kind of conventions and best practices that let the team move quickly without accumulating technical debt.
Spent over three years building and maintaining web applications for some of the UK's most recognisable organisations, including W3C, HS2, the UK Parliament, HMICFRS, Kinship, The Fitzwilliam Museum, and many more. The work spanned frontend development, backend logic, and CMS-driven sites, often against demanding requirements around performance, reliability, and accessibility — several of the sites I worked on met AA and AAA accessibility standards. It taught me how to work within established teams, deliver to real client deadlines, and treat quality and usability as core requirements rather than afterthoughts.
Where my career started. I built custom e-commerce platforms and RESTful APIs from the ground up, getting hands-on with the full modern web stack — frontend, backend, and database — and learning how to ship reliable, production-ready code within a professional engineering workflow.
